DESCRIPTION
Head and Valve Train Failure refers to a situation where the cylinder head or valve train components of an internal combustion engine have suffered damage or wear that impairs their ability to function properly. The cylinder head is the top part of the engine block that contains the combustion chambers, while the valve train includes all of the parts responsible for opening and closing the intake and exhaust valves in each cylinder. Damage can occur due to a variety of reasons, including overheating, inadequate lubrication, or normal wear and tear over time. Symptoms of head and valve train failure can include rough running or misfiring, loss of power, excessive oil consumption or smoking from the exhaust. If left unaddressed, head and valve train failure can lead to catastrophic engine damage requiring expensive repairs or replacement.
