DESCRIPTION
A valve collet is a small but important component of an engine's valve train system. It is designed to hold the valve spring in place and prevent it from coming loose during operation. The collet fits over the top of the valve stem and clips onto a groove on the valve stem, securing it in place. In addition to ensuring that the valve spring stays put, the collet also helps to maintain proper clearance between the valve stem and rocker arm or camshaft. Without this vital piece, engines would be prone to misfires, loss of compression, and other serious issues. The part number for this specific valve collet is C0110275200.
