DESCRIPTION
A valve collet is a small but important component of the valvetrain system in an engine. It is designed to hold the valve spring in place and ensure that it maintains consistent pressure on the valve stem. The collet fits snugly around the top of the valve stem and locks onto a retainer, preventing the spring from moving out of position during operation. This helps to maintain proper valve timing and prevents damage to both the valves and other engine components.
