DESCRIPTION
A valve cover is a component that sits on top of the cylinder head and covers the valves. It is designed to keep oil from leaking out of the engine and to prevent debris from entering the engine. The valve cover is typically made of metal or plastic and has a gasket that creates a seal between it and the cylinder head.
