DESCRIPTION
The valve cover is a component of a truck engine that sits on top of the cylinder head and covers the valves. It is commonly made of aluminum or plastic and is held in place by bolts. The valve cover prevents oil from leaking out of the engine and also keeps dirt and debris from entering the engine. It typically has a gasket between it and the cylinder head to create a seal.
