DESCRIPTION
A vent fitting, also known as part number 3973094, is a small component of a truck's fuel system. It is responsible for allowing the fuel tank to breathe by regulating the pressure inside the tank. The vent fitting is typically located on top of the fuel tank and is connected to a series of hoses that lead to the engine compartment. Without a properly functioning vent fitting, pressure can build up inside the fuel tank, causing it to expand and potentially rupture.
