DESCRIPTION
The Vent Tube (Part Number: 5258032) is a component found in trucks that helps regulate pressure within the fuel tank. As fuel is consumed, air needs to enter the tank to replace the volume of fuel used. The vent tube allows this air to enter while also preventing debris and contaminants from entering the system. It typically connects to a charcoal canister, which further filters the air before it enters the engine intake system. A malfunctioning vent tube can cause several issues such as excessive pressure build-up in the fuel tank, which can lead to leaks or even damage to other components of your truck's fuel system.
