DESCRIPTION
A viscous vibration damper is a device used in internal combustion engines to reduce torsional vibrations and crankshaft deflection. It consists of a housing filled with a viscous fluid that is connected to the crankshaft. As the crankshaft rotates, the fluid inside the damper resists the motion, absorbing the vibrations and reducing their amplitude. The part number 3093729NX is a viscous vibration damper manufactured by Cummins® for use in commercial trucks.
