DESCRIPTION
A lock washer, also known as a split washer or spring washer, is a small component used in automotive applications to prevent nuts and bolts from loosening due to vibration or torque. The 4070111 lock washer has a unique design that features a split in the center of the washer, which creates tension when compressed between two surfaces. This tension adds additional friction to the joint and helps keep the bolt from turning. Lock washers are commonly used in high-stress applications where maintaining tightness is critical for safety and performance.
