DESCRIPTION
The water pump pulley (part number 150939) for Cummins® commercial trucks is a crucial component in the engine cooling system. It works in conjunction with the water pump to drive the circulation of coolant throughout the engine. The pulley is typically attached to the water pump shaft and is responsible for transmitting power from the engine's crankshaft to the water pump impeller. As the crankshaft rotates, the pulley's belt connection is also set in motion, causing the water pump to rotate and create the necessary pressure to circulate coolant. This ensures optimal cooling of the engine, preventing overheating and maintaining its operational temperature within safe limits.
