DESCRIPTION
The Water Pump Idler Pulley, also known as part number AR8851RX, is a component of the engine cooling system in trucks. It is a pulley that is mounted on a stationary bracket and helps to keep tension on the water pump belt. The purpose of this pulley is to ensure that the water pump belt stays in place and does not slip off, which would cause serious damage to the engine. The Water Pump Idler Pulley rotates with the belt and can wear over time from constant use, leading to a loss of tension on the belt. If this occurs, it can cause overheating and other problems with the engine's cooling system. Regular maintenance checks should include inspecting this component for signs of wear or damage and replacing it if necessary.
