DESCRIPTION
The Brake Modulator Hydraulic Unit (part number MK328378) is a component of a truck's anti-lock brake system (ABS). It contains valves and solenoids that control the flow of brake fluid to the wheels during hard braking or slippery conditions. The modulator unit receives signals from sensors at each wheel that detect when a wheel is about to lock up. If a wheel is detected to be locking up, the modulator unit will rapidly pulse the brake pressure to that wheel, allowing it to maintain traction and prevent skidding. This helps the driver maintain control of the vehicle during emergency situations. The Brake Modulator Hydraulic Unit is an important safety feature that helps prevent accidents on the road.
