DESCRIPTION
The Upper Left Hand Front Brake Caliper Sub Assembly, with the part number MK528879, is a component of a truck's braking system. It is responsible for applying pressure to the brake pads, which in turn press against the rotor to slow or stop the vehicle. The caliper sub assembly consists of various parts including pistons, seals, and mounting brackets. It is located on the left side of the front axle and is attached to the steering knuckle. When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic fluid flows into the caliper sub assembly, causing the pistons to move and apply pressure to the brake pads. This results in friction between the pads and rotor, ultimately slowing or stopping the truck.
