DESCRIPTION
The Loaded Caliper, also known as the brake caliper assembly, is a critical component of the braking system in commercial trucks. It is responsible for applying pressure to the brake pads, which then clamp down on the rotor to slow or stop the vehicle. The Loaded Caliper is a complete assembly that includes the caliper housing, pistons, brake pads, and hardware.
When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure is sent to the Loaded Caliper, causing the pistons to push the brake pads against the rotor. This friction generates heat, which is then dissipated by the rotor and the surrounding air.
