DESCRIPTION
The Parking Brake Drum, also known as the Hand Brake Drum, is an essential part of the braking system in commercial trucks. It is a circular metal component that is attached to the rear wheels of the truck and is responsible for providing additional braking power when the vehicle is parked.
When the driver pulls the parking brake lever, a cable is activated which pulls the brake shoes inside the drum, creating friction and stopping the wheels from turning. The Parking Brake Drum is designed to withstand high temperatures and constant wear and tear, ensuring that the vehicle remains stationary even on steep inclines.
