DESCRIPTION
The Alternator Drive Belt Tensioner, also known as QC002276, is a component of a truck's engine that maintains the proper tension of the alternator drive belt. It is responsible for keeping the belt tight enough to transfer power from the engine to the alternator, but not so tight that it causes excessive wear on either component. The tensioner is typically made of metal and has a spring-loaded arm that applies pressure to the belt. Over time, the tensioner can become worn or damaged and may need to be replaced to ensure proper operation of the vehicle's electrical system.
