DESCRIPTION
A Cylinder Block Plug, also known as a freeze plug or expansion plug, is a small metal disk that is inserted into the holes in the engine block to seal off the coolant passages. These plugs are designed to pop out if the coolant in the engine freezes and expands, preventing damage to the block. The QC002240 Cylinder Block Plug is a specific part number used by certain truck models and should be replaced if it becomes damaged or corroded.
