DESCRIPTION
The crankshaft pulley is a component of an internal combustion engine that drives the accessory belts. It is attached to the front end of the crankshaft and rotates with it. The pulley has a series of grooves on its circumference that match the grooves on the accessory belts. As the crankshaft rotates, it spins the pulley, which in turn spins the accessory belts. This allows power to be transferred to components such as the alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor. The ME013738 is a specific part number for a crankshaft pulley used in certain models of trucks.
