This ensures that only clean and dry refrigerant flows through the system, preventing damage to other components such as the compressor or expansion valve. The Air Conditioning Receiver Assembly contains a desiccant material that absorbs moisture and filters out debris from the refrigerant. Over time, this material can become saturated and lose its effectiveness, requiring replacement of the entire assembly.
