DESCRIPTION
An Exhaust Oxygen Sensor (part number ML296178) is an essential component of a truck's exhaust system. It measures the oxygen levels in the exhaust gases and sends this information to the engine control unit (ECU). The ECU uses this data to adjust the air/fuel mixture, ensuring optimal engine performance and reducing harmful emissions. A faulty oxygen sensor can cause a decrease in fuel efficiency, increased emissions, and engine performance issues. It is recommended to replace the oxygen sensor every 60,000-90,000 miles for optimal performance.
