DESCRIPTION
The Inter Cooler Air Temperature Sensor, also known as ICAT sensor, is a component in a truck's engine system that measures the temperature of air entering the intercooler. This sensor is responsible for ensuring that the engine receives the correct amount of air and fuel mixture for efficient combustion. The ICAT sensor is typically located near the intercooler and sends data to the engine control module (ECM) to adjust fuel injection timing and boost pressure. A malfunctioning ICAT sensor can cause issues such as reduced power output or increased emissions. The MC855470 is a specific part number for an ICAT sensor used in certain truck models.
