DESCRIPTION
A turbocharger sleeve, also known as a turbocharger housing, is an essential component of a turbocharger system. It encloses the turbine wheel and directs exhaust gases into the turbine blades, which spin the compressor wheel. The compressor wheel then draws in and compresses air, which is forced into the engine's cylinders for improved combustion and power output. The sleeve is typically made of cast iron or stainless steel and must be able to withstand high temperatures and pressures. Part number QC000549 is a specific sleeve designed for use in certain models of trucks and should be replaced if it becomes cracked or damaged to maintain optimal performance of the turbocharger system.
