DESCRIPTION
The Engine Oil Cooler By-Pass Valve (part number ME084747) is a component of the truck's engine oil system. Its main function is to regulate the flow of oil through the engine oil cooler. When the engine is cold, the valve remains closed, allowing the oil to bypass the cooler and circulate directly through the engine. As the engine warms up and requires additional cooling, the valve opens, diverting a portion of the oil flow through the cooler.
