DESCRIPTION
Flex Plate: A flex plate is a circular metal plate that connects the engine to the torque converter in an automatic transmission. It is mounted to the crankshaft and serves as a coupling between the engine and the transmission. The flex plate is designed to absorb the torque generated by the engine and transmit it to the transmission. It is made of high-strength steel and has a ring gear on the outer edge that engages with the starter motor to crank the engine.
