DESCRIPTION
The Radiator Filler Cap is an external component of the engine that seals the opening of the radiator and maintains the pressure in the cooling system. It is designed to prevent coolant from escaping and to keep air from entering the system. The cap is usually made of metal or plastic and has a spring-loaded valve that opens when the pressure in the system exceeds a certain level, allowing excess coolant to flow into the overflow tank.
