DESCRIPTION
Charge Air Cooler (CAC) is a heat exchanger used in turbocharged and supercharged diesel engines to cool the compressed air before it enters the engine. It is also known as an intercooler. The CAC is similar to a radiator, but instead of cooling engine coolant, it cools the compressed air from the turbocharger or supercharger.
