DESCRIPTION
The Air Brake Diaphragm is a component of the air brake system in trucks. It is designed to convert energy from compressed air into mechanical force that operates the brakes. The diaphragm, which is made of rubber or another flexible material, separates the air pressure chamber from the brake chamber. When air pressure is applied, it causes the diaphragm to move and push against a rod or lever that activates the brakes. A damaged diaphragm can cause problems with braking performance and may lead to failure of the entire brake system.
