1958 Ford Zodiac

1958 Ford Zodiac

The 1958 Ford Zodiac is a luxurious iteration of the Ford Zephyr-Six, designed to combine elegance with performance. It is powered by a 2,262 cc (138 cu in) overhead valve inline-six engine, known for its higher compression ratio, enabling a top speed of approximately 84 mph. Distinctive features of the Zodiac include a duotone paint finish, fog and spot lamps, and a manually operated reversing lamp. The vehicle comes equipped with modern conveniences such as a heater, windscreen washers, wing mirrors, leather upholstery, pile carpet, and wool headlining. Unique touches include a cigar lighter, and a clock mounted between the sun visors. The Zodiac’s design is further enhanced by gold-plated exterior accents, emphasizing its status as a “leader amongst cars of today.” As part of the first generation of the Zephyr line, the 1958 model continues the tradition of luxury set by the updated Mk II models introduced in 1956.
