The vehicle utilizes drum brakes as standard, with front disc brakes becoming optional in 1960. The suspension consists of MacPherson strut in the front and a live axle with half-elliptical springs at the rear. It measures approximately 172 inches (4,369 mm) in length and 64 inches (1,626 mm) in width. The Mark II series also shares design elements with the Zodiac, particularly in its roof styles.
