1965 Ford LTD

The 1965 Ford LTD was a significant model in the Galaxie 500 series, showcasing an all-new design that emphasized luxury and comfort. It featured a distinctive exterior with vertically stacked dual headlights, a new grille with thin horizontal bars, and a single horizontal feature line along the sides. Body styles included both 2-door and 4-door hardtops. The interior boasted thickly padded seats, simulated walnut appliques, and courtesy lights. Under the hood, the LTD came standard with a 289 CID V-8 engine generating 200 horsepower, with optional upgrades including the 390 CID V8. The standard transmission was the Cruise-O-Matic automatic, alongside optional three-speed and four-speed manuals for different engines. Performance-wise, the LTD achieved a 0-60 mph time of approximately 8-10 seconds, boasting a 119-inch wheelbase and an overall length of about 210 inches.
