DESCRIPTION
A Wastegate Actuator Kit, identified by part number 4030004, is a component used in turbocharged engines to regulate the amount of boost pressure generated by the turbocharger. The kit includes a wastegate actuator, which is a small device that controls the opening and closing of the wastegate valve. The wastegate valve is responsible for diverting exhaust gas away from the turbine wheel in order to limit boost pressure. The actuator uses vacuum pressure from the engine to open and close the wastegate valve as needed to maintain a consistent level of boost pressure. A properly functioning wastegate actuator can improve engine performance and prevent damage to other components caused by over-boosting.
