DESCRIPTION
An Air Starting Motor, also known as a pneumatic starter, is a truck component that uses compressed air to crank the engine and start it. It is commonly used in heavy-duty diesel engines where the electrical starting system may not be reliable or effective. The air starting motor consists of a cylinder, piston, and a gear train that engages with the engine's flywheel to turn it over. When the air pressure is released into the cylinder, it pushes the piston which turns the gears and rotates the engine. This process continues until the engine starts running on its own power. The Air Starting Motor is an essential part of any truck's starting system and ensures reliable ignition in all weather conditions.
