DESCRIPTION
The Engine Piston Kit (part number 3019287) is a set of components that includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips. It is designed for use in Cummins® diesel engines and is responsible for converting the energy generated by the combustion process into mechanical energy that powers the vehicle. The piston moves up and down inside the engine cylinder, compressing the air-fuel mixture and then pushing the exhaust gases out of the engine. The piston rings help to seal the combustion chamber and prevent oil from leaking into the combustion chamber. The wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod, which in turn is connected to the crankshaft. The circlips hold the wrist pin in place.
