DESCRIPTION
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Kit with part number 5406075 is a component of the truck's exhaust system. Its primary function is to reduce the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by recirculating a portion of the exhaust gases back into the engine's combustion chamber. The kit includes a valve, gasket, and hardware necessary for installation. The EGR valve opens and closes to regulate the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold. Over time, carbon buildup may cause it to malfunction and require replacement. A properly functioning EGR valve helps maintain compliance with emissions regulations while also improving fuel economy and engine performance.
