DESCRIPTION
The Doser Injector, also known as part number 2888173NX, is a crucial component in the diesel engine exhaust aftertreatment system. It is responsible for injecting diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) into the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide emissions. The doser injector precisely meters and sprays DEF into the hot exhaust stream where it reacts with the SCR catalyst to convert NOx into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. The doser injector must be properly maintained and calibrated to ensure optimal performance of the aftertreatment system, which is essential for compliance with emission regulations.
