DESCRIPTION
The Wastegate Actuator Kit (part number 4030225) is a component of a turbocharged engine that controls the boost pressure produced by the turbocharger. The kit includes an actuator and rod, which are responsible for regulating the flow of exhaust gases to the turbine wheel. When the engine reaches a certain speed, the actuator opens and allows some of the exhaust gases to bypass the turbine wheel, reducing its speed and preventing over-boosting. This helps maintain engine efficiency and prevents damage to internal components.
