DESCRIPTION
A cylinder kit, identified by part number 5473407, is a set of components that make up the internal combustion engine's cylinder assembly. It includes the cylinder liner, piston, piston rings, and wrist pin. The cylinder liner is a cylindrical metal sleeve that fits inside the engine block and provides a smooth surface for the piston to move up and down. The piston is a reciprocating component that compresses air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber during the power stroke of an engine cycle. Piston rings seal off gaps between the piston and cylinder wall to prevent leakage of gases during combustion. Wrist pins connect pistons to connecting rods which transfer power from pistons to crankshaft. Cylinder kits are typically used as replacement parts when there is significant wear or damage to any of these components in an engine.
