DESCRIPTION
A flexplate is a circular metal plate that connects the engine crankshaft to the torque converter in an automatic transmission. It is designed to flex slightly, allowing for smooth engagement of the transmission and to absorb shock and vibration. The Cummins® flexplate part number 4309565 is specifically designed for use in Cummins® diesel engines.
