DESCRIPTION
A Main Bearing Stud Set, also known as BM98070, is a set of threaded fasteners designed to secure the main bearing caps in an engine block. These studs are made from high-strength materials such as steel or titanium and are installed to provide additional clamping force compared to traditional bolts. This extra force helps to prevent the main bearings from moving or rotating under the extreme loads and forces generated by the engine. A Main Bearing Stud Set is commonly used in high-performance engines where reliability and durability are essential, especially in racing applications where every horsepower counts.
