DESCRIPTION
The Coolant Level Switch, also known as the coolant level sensor, is a component in a truck's cooling system that monitors the level of coolant in the radiator and sends this information to the vehicle's computer. The switch typically consists of a float that moves up and down with changes in coolant level, and an electrical contact that is triggered when the float reaches a certain point. If the coolant level drops below a certain threshold, this can indicate a leak or other issue with the cooling system. The computer may then trigger warning lights or other alerts to notify the driver of potential problems. Proper maintenance of the coolant level switch can help ensure optimal performance and prolong the life of your truck's engine.
