DESCRIPTION
A thermostat is a component used in truck engines to regulate the temperature of the coolant. The part number for this particular thermostat is 5440466. It works by opening and closing a valve that controls the flow of coolant through the engine. When the engine is cold, the thermostat remains closed, preventing coolant from flowing through until it reaches its optimal operating temperature. Once this temperature is reached, the thermostat opens and allows coolant to circulate through the engine, maintaining a consistent temperature. This helps to prevent overheating and ensures that all components are functioning at their best.
