DESCRIPTION
A Turbocharger Actuator Kit, also known as a wastegate actuator, is a component that controls the amount of boost pressure produced by a turbocharger. The kit typically includes an actuator and mounting hardware. The actuator is connected to the wastegate, which is a valve that regulates the flow of exhaust gases to the turbine wheel of the turbocharger. When the engine reaches a certain level of boost pressure, the actuator opens the wastegate to allow some of the exhaust gases to bypass the turbine wheel, which limits boost pressure and prevents damage to engine components.
