DESCRIPTION
A cylinder kit, identified by part number 3804314, is a complete assembly consisting of the cylinder block and head, pistons, rings, connecting rods, and other necessary components for an engine. The cylinder block is the central component of the engine that houses the cylinders in which combustion occurs. The cylinder head sits atop the block and contains valves that control airflow into and exhaust out of each cylinder. Pistons move up and down within each cylinder, transferring energy from combustion to the crankshaft. Rings seal the piston to the wall of each cylinder to maintain compression and prevent oil from entering into the combustion chamber. Connecting rods link each piston to a shared crankshaft that converts linear motion into rotational motion to power the truck's wheels. Cylinder kits are available in various sizes and configurations for different engine types and applications.
